Diaper Disasters
WHAT A DAY!!!! I survived! Those people on Survivor have nothing on me....I should get a million dollars for my courage, no wait....heck, I'll just take some oreos if you have 'em....a million bucks vs. Oreos....it all comes out even.

I finally got snuggled in around 2 am with the aid of Ambien, only to be awoken a hundred times or more by Sophie crying and wanting out. My baby girl dog has become a woman and has discovered boys, I tried to tell her the boys are all sleeping at 3 am but she wouldn't listen. I even explained to her that if she found one, they are off limits! She is in heat for the first time, I have never had a female dog before and truly had no idea what all it would involve. I frantically searched the internet for clues as to what to expect and thankfully found Boxer World, a veritable buffet of information on Boxers. Did you know that they sell Doggie Diapers for occassions such as this? I had no clue and they are expensive! There were several suggestions ranging from the Petco variety of Doggie Diapers and toddler underwear with maxi pads to sewing your own and pampers. OK, pampers I have, we may be on to something here! Poor Sophie.... if only you could get a visual of the utter humiliation displayed on her wrinkled, smush face when I tried to outfit her with a velcro cloth diaper, I couldn't quit laughing and I swear she just wanted to slink away, Boxers are sensitive that way. The cloth diaper was too small and I was getting desperate when I remembered the Finding Nemo swim diapers that I had bought for Lilli. Ah Ha!!! Lilli watched in complete awe as I suited Sophie up in her Nemo panties and cut a hole for her little nub tail, Lilli probably thought her Mama had finally been pushed over the brink. I couldn't help it, I was laughing so hard I was crying and Soph just shot daggers at me with those pitiful brown eyes. She refused to move for 30 minutes while she stared at her heiny and then finally sulked off to her dog bed, only to be subjected to more humiliation when Daddy and the boys saw her.

To add to the diaper dilemma.....I went in to get Lillianne this morning when I heard her jabbering away. I open the door and to my utter horror see my precious angel standing in her crib, laughing and talking to her diaper that is on the other side of the crib. What lies between the darling daughter and the discarded diaper....I'll give you a second to guess......POOP! I wanted to scream for help but realized I was home alone with Lillianne, the diapered pooch and two sleeping boys....no one could help me or share in my horror. The little princess just giggled and held out her arms for some Momma huggin. Thank goodness it was contained. I have heard the goulish stories of poopy being spread around the crib, around the baby and splattered across the room. I got out of this pretty well with all things considered.

I am reminded of the saying "That which does not kill us, makes us stonger".
Well I dang near died today and at this point I must be Wonder Woman! I'm off to find the Oreos.

LOL Dottie, that's hilarious. Just the mental imagine of a Boxer in a swim diaper is enough of a laugh for one day, but then add in the talking to the diaper... at least you seem to be amused! I know I am!

You are right, at least Poop wasn't smeared on the walls or all over her... take what you can get woman! LOL! Hope those Oreos were yummy, thank God for chocolate or else I would be long dead as well! Hope you have a better day today! Later chick!

I'm laughing at the visual of Lillyanne (I know I spelled that wrong).
I had a friend who diapered their dog with baby diapers and cut a hole out for the tail. They duct taped the waist for added support. LOL!

Back in the day, when our dog was in heat, we tried everything as well, finally settling on cotton training pants, with a hole for the tail!
