To Launch A Dinosaur
Blah, Blah, Blah......it's the way I feel about today! Once again I didn't go to sleep until 2:30 this morning and I am feeling just nasty for it today. I hate to keep taking the Ambien, I don't like to take meds regularly for anything but this is just crazy.

Something happened with the caller ID features on my phone, the phone company screwed up when I ordered the new line for upstairs and deleted my caller ID/call waiting and if one has ever dealt with said phone company, one knows that it can take them 400 years to correct a mistake. Hopefully we are on year 399, day 365, hour 23 and it will all be fixed NOW!!!! I have an almost 13 year old daughter who is friends with what must be the entire population of a small nation, the phone is never for Kurt or I, always for her and even though Missouri has enacted the no call list for telemarketers, there are those brave few that will throw $$$ to the wind and risk it anyway. My number has to be on auto dial with them, go away already! Internet, can you see the dire need that I have for caller id? Screen, Screen, Screen!!!! Better yet Mr. or Mrs. telemarketer who chooses to break the law.....call this sleep deprived Mama today....I dare you!

Barney about got launched this morning! You know the purple dinosaur that is adored by all children. My sister says that my brother-in-law believes Barney causes a hypnotic state in the toddler crowd. If you have spent time in the presence of a small child while Barney is on, one can see why he would draw such a conclusion. Back to the launching...... Lillianne loves Barney, she would never watch TV until her first Barney experience and now she is in love with the big, purple lug. She who usually sleeps until 9 am or later, woke up at 6 AM this morning. Daddy never has any luck (he really doesn't try too hard) getting her to go back to sleep so he got her out of her crib and let her play while he began to get ready for work. She finds her stuffed Barney (once was Morgan's) that talks and she yells "Barney"! FUN!!! Normally this would make me proud, my precious girl so excited and talking but Mommy has only been asleep for 3.5 hours and the purple guy is spouting phrases of love and hugs LOUDLY and repetitively. After several agonizing minutes of Barney's profession of love, mercifully she moves on to something that doesn't speak and goes back to bed within 15 minutes. I turn on the fan, crawl back into the cool sheets and begin drifting off into slumberland.....quiet and cozy......and then........"I LOVE YOU",
"I NEED A HUG" penetrates my dream world from the living room.......Someone call NASA, we need to launch a dinosaur!

I swore my kids would never watch Barney...but Emily has and loves him. Usually there is something on Nick Jr to turn on instead so she only watches it once in a blue moon when I fall asleep on the couch and do not manage to change channels before it comes on, lol.
