Um, Mommy....Are you looking for your Dove chocolate?
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Lillianne got a hold of a Dove chocolate thanks to her Daddy and this was the result. I love this picture, I thought she looked so guilty when she came up to me!

The camping trip was fabulous! Thursday morning while Kurt was at work, I loaded up the kids, the tents and Sophie and drove about 40 minutes to a State Park that is here in MO. The walk in tent sites are not reservable so I was hoping that I would get one. I ended up getting the nicest one that they had but to claim it you actually have to put a tent on it then. The boys put up their little two man tent while Morgan and I put up the tent that she and her friend were going to use. I saved the two room tent for Kurt and I to put up that evening. We got in and out of there that morning in less than an hour and headed back home to pack up. I was so proud of myself, I got the stuff all packed and the trailer loaded by the time Kurt got home, all he had to do was throw the bikes in the back of the truck and hook the trailer to it.

Morgan took her friend Samantha "Sam" along with her and they attracted the attention of all of the boys at the campground. They probably rode their bikes 100 miles all in all over the weekend and made lots of new friends. Layne and Evan each found groups of friends to hang out with, Layne staked his claim on a island of rocks in the spring creek, thus naming it Layne Island and was pretty territorial with it! LOL

Evan biked into camp with an adorable little girl following him, her name was Alisha but he insisted that she was "Malisha". He introduced her to us and proceeded to show her around camp and took her to Layne Island. A vision of things to come, Evan attracts cute little girls like bees to honey!

It was beautiful and peaceful, THERE WAS NO FIGHTING AMONGST THE KIDS! YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!!! Kurt got a little grumpy now and then but he's gotta grumble at least once a day! HA HA!

I have no idea if I will ever be able to get all of the dirt out of Lillianne's clothes! She had the best time and there was no confining her, she HAD to explore everything. She would make lap after lap around the tents and just giggle and loved the make shift swing that her Daddy built out of a burlap bag and rope.

Twice we took Lillianne to the van in the middle of the night to watch a movie when she woke up wanting to play. Her sweet little voice tends to echo thru the woods and she wanted to giggle and play, but all in all it was a super trip and I enjoyed it. The kids never wanted to come home again, so I guess camping will be something we do a little more often (even though Kurt says never, I can't figure this out b/c he napped everyday and didn't have a thing to worry about! )

Kurt was off on Monday and Tuesday as well so we were able to get some stuff done around here. We trenched in an underground electrical line for the dusk to dawn light by the play yard and then ran line in opposite directions to supply electric for the playhouse and the lawn pond. Kurt engineered a trencher, Buchheits wanted $160 to rent a trencher that would leave a dirt line 6" wide in our lawn, no thanks. He got an old tractor chisel thing and hooked it to the lawn tractor, it wasn't heavy enough to dig deep by itself so I used all of my 120lbs to "surf" on it, it did the trick! HA!!! I'm glad we live in the country b/c I am sure that if anyone saw us they would agree we looked pretty red neck! Oh well, saved me $160 that I can get something else with!

Well, sort of an update on the trip! It was great, I'm sad that we had to come back to reality but such is life!
