Ugghh....I can't sleep because I want chocolate....really want chocolate! I didn't allow myself to buy any more chocolate for this very reason. (Have you seen the MEGA M&M's advertised on TV, I really NEED those!!!) If it is here, I eat it! LOL I must be hormonal because last night I made myself a huge bowl of fettucini alfredo with parmesean (carbs) after everyone else had gone to bed and watched a really stupid movie! I have shamelessly eaten a King Size Three Muskateers bar and 1/4 gallon of Candy Bar Cruch Ice Cream! (All in two days~)
Thank God I have a great metabolism or I would seriously be screwed! Gotta love hormonal swings....it just isn't too pretty! LOL!
Tomorrow night Morgan has her first volleyball game, they were to have one Monday night but the 7th grade game got cancelled due to the opposing team being short of players. I know that they will do well, Morgan is very excited about the game. Last night when we were on the way home from soccer practice, she was talking about giving up a few things. I think she is tired from running so much (I breathe a sigh of relief b/c I AM tired!) I am sure that she will change her mind several hundred times before making a final decision. I want her to participate in what she wants to and what she is chosen for. She is a responsible girl who knows her limits. Her grades are fantastic so I know that she is not suffering in that area. Speaking of grades, she was one of 11 or 12 7th graders to get nominated to the National Junior Honor Society. We are so proud of her, it is quite an honor.
My sister and little Faith are doing wonderfully. Christina makes several trips to the hospital everyday to just be near Faith. She is really too small to hold a lot right now, they say she can't tolerate too much touch but Christina can put her hand on her so that Faith is comforted by the touch of her mother. They determined that she was a 31 week baby when she was born, thus she should have weighed around 4 lbs. Apparantly Christina had been pre eclamptic for a little bit but with her normally low blood pressure, it went undetected and the womb was not such a hospitable place for Faith to grow. Thank God that they caught it in time, it could have been tragic for both of them. It looks like Mom is going to be out there for quite some time. I am so glad that she is where she can go and be with them, to help with whatever they need. Our prayers are being answered everyday with the two of them!
The kids and I had dinner with the inlaws tonight, DH was working and MIL called to have us over. As always it was yummy and I ate too much! Dinner conversation turned to racism as there was a news story on TV about a racially motivated fight in one of our surrounding towns. Our town is predominately caucasion and thus not always the most tolerant of other races. The kids have told me that they have several children in their schools right now that are hurricane evacuees and that they are African American. Morgan and Layne were both upset because they have heard people making derrogatory remarks about these poor children. I can't believe in this day and age, that ignorance and intolerance is still so prevalant and is being passed down to the next generation. It seriously makes me want to puke! I am proud of my children for their loving spirits that see no color, they just see people. God sees us that way, he just sees us all as his children.
A little funny..... Apparantly Evan had a juice box disaster in his lunch box last week and failed to mention it to me. He comes home today and walks in the door waving a white piece of paper with an envelope attached. He is pretty hot under the collar and I just couldn't wait to hear why. He got charged for a new lunch at school since his was ruined and he was not pleased. My little kindergartner does not understand how these things work. He'd gotten a bill and was not happy! He looked at me, sighed an annoyed sigh and said "Here Mom, whatda they think? That you've got a million dollars?" If only sweetheart, if only........ and dear little man, it's not the last bill you'll ever get, be glad this one's on Mommy!
Thanks for your comments and e-mails regarding our friend, I haven't heard any news tonight. Please continue to keep his family lifted up in prayer.
Goodnight!
