Happy 18 months birthday to my sweet little princess, Lillianne Grace!
I can't believe that she is a year and a half old today, where in the world did the time go? It seems just like yesterday that I was holding her in my arms for the first time, counting her tiny toes and fingers. Now I'm trying to keep those same little fingers and sometimes toes, from getting into everything they shouldn't!
We ran errands this morning, went to the bank and then shopping. It got cold outside rather suddenly and I went to pull out the jeans that I had gotten her, they were all too short. She is tall for her age and her jeans certainly reflected that! In our small town, there are not a lot of options for last minute clothing purchases. I had heard that there was a new resale shop in town so we stopped by there. She had some cute stuff but no jeans in Lilli's size. The owner and I began talking and I had some information that could help her with her stock. I've got to dig thru all of my paper work so I can share some quality wholesale vendors with her. I don't plan on doing any business locally unless it is from someone we know so I am more than happy to share the info I have gathered with her. I then found out that there is a new little shop off of the square with children's clothing. I ran up there but no luck for jeans, they just had outfits and I really don't need that and can get anything like that I need myself, I just need a pair or two of jeans in a pinch! They did have several cute things, hopefully both places will succeed, our town can certainly use children's retailers.
The weekend is busy....I have real estate stuff to do in the morning and we have soccer games all day. Kurt is going to have to work some this weekend and Sunday I have a real estate appt and have to take Morgan to soccer practice out of town. I can't wait for a weekend without anything to do! We have soccer tournaments thru October so no end in sight!
I am loving this cooler weather! I was so sick of upper 80 and 90 degree days at the end of September. I helped Kurt split wood yesterday evening and played outside with the kids, we grilled for dinner, watched Survivor and then after the kids were in bed, relaxed in the hot tub for about an hour before bed. I'm looking forward to a repeat tonight, it helps me stay away from taking pain killers when the weather changes for my hip. I'm thankful they were able to put me back together after the accident but on days when the pain is intense, it certainly is hard to keep that in mind.
Oh, I got some wonderful news today! It looks like little Faith may come home as early as Oct. 10th! She will probably still be under 5 lbs but she is strong and that is what they say counts. As long as she is eating and growing and she is doing both. Thank you again for your prayers and thoughts for her!
Enjoy your weekend and I am really trying to catch up on reading your blogs!
