No sleep for me tonight, I just got off of the phone with my sister. Today has been such a whirlwind for her and the rest of us have been careening along on the ride with her. Her biophysical testing on the baby came back good although it showed 29 weeks gestation instead of 31. She was under the impression that she would be able to go home in a few days. That just is not to be the case, they did the urinalysis to test for protein and it came back alarmingly high. They like it to be under 300 and her's was 1200. They were planning an immediate c-section but for some reason decided to just induce her, to let her try to deliver vaginally. It looks like I will have a 3lb little niece that will be born on my first born daughter's 13th birthday. I am praying incessantly that all will be well with both of them. The nurses expressed concern for my sister, her levels are so high, her blood pressure remains dangerously high and she is so tired. They have given her pitocin and broken her water, that is a nasty combination. I have had to have that done will all of my children as I don't progress past 4cm, I am hurting right along with her tonight. Her first child was born with such ease, she was 6cm when she arrived at the hospital and didn't even realize it. Please pray with us this morning that she will have a safe delivery and the little one will be strong. I won't be sleeping tonight, I so want to be there with her.
It is officially after midnight, the 13th birthday of my beautiful daughter. I'll be writing a birthday tribute to her later today, but right now...I love you sweet girl! We are excitedly planning her 13th birthday party. She has asked that we have it in late September or early October since she wants to do an outdoor cookout/bonfire/hayride type thing, she thinks it should just be cool outside for that. I have to agree, I don't think a bonfire, roasted marshmallows and a hayride hold the same appeal when the temperature outside is hovering around 90. Her grandparents graciously offered to let her have her party at their pool but the evenings are dipping into the 60's and the water would be cooled off quite a bit right now. Plus, I am not sure I am ready for a pool party of 50 plus pre teens and teens. The guest list is currently at 50, I asked her to keep it to her closest friends and she said "but Mom, these are my closest friends!" Popular little thing! LOL
Going to go see what is on the movie channels on Satellite, probably not a darn thing.
By the way....I got bitten today and you know what......the truth was STILL the truth!
Goodnight internet!
