Wow, who would have thought 18 years ago when we first met that we would be here today, blessed with the life that we have!
I remember seeing you across the room at the community center teen dance, I told my friend that I wanted you and that she needed to go get you for me. She crossed the room and brought you back with her, you asked me to dance and I can still smell the Polo you were wearing as you nervously held me close. We were inseperable from that moment on.....circumstances later may have seperated us for a few years but nothing could break the bond that we shared in our hearts. I always knew that you loved me and that I felt the same way. Seperate accidents almost took both of us from this world and I struggled daily with why God had left me on the earth when all indications said that I shouldn't have survived and it was nothing short of God's grace and his miracle that you lived thru yours. The answer as to why he spared our lives was never more apparant than the day that I stood before you in that church, before our family and friends, with our eyes full of tears and our hearts full of love. I pledged that day to love you, to honor you and to always stand beside you. I meant every single word! Thru the years life has tested that promise, pushed it to it's boundaries but I remain strong in my convictions that we are to share our lives, until the end of them, as one.
God has blessed us with the most beautiful family. The day you promised yourself to me, you opened your arms and heart to Morgan and made her forever your child. They are our greatest accomplishment and our greatest gift. I look forward to walking thru life with you, holding your hand thru all that we will be met with...watching our children grow and leave us to start lives of their own, our grandchildren and our golden years together. You are my best friend, my confidante, my lover and my soul......I love you forever......
Way back when......
