Unbelievable news!
Grr....I had this post typed out and the computer ate it so I will try again.

I am sitting here saddened and heartbroken at the news we just received. A friend of ours whom I have known since I was born is in heart and lung failure, his liver and kidneys are suffering now, too. He is only a few years older than Kurt and I and under 40. How is the world could this be happening to him?
When he was a little boy, he had surgery to close a hole in his heart but has led a full and active life since.

He has a 15 year old son that has to be in so much pain and so confused as to why this is happening to his father. He has wonderful parents and and an equally wonderful sister who must be so full of fear and pain.

Please pray for a miracle for their family, pray for peace and for healing.
It is so hard to understand God's plan for our lives, so difficult to see the path, especially when we don't want to see what is being revealed. It makes me angry to think of someone so young very close to losing his life, I can't make sense of it. It is times like this when it is so hard to be faithful but when one so needs to hang onto that faith.

They are trying desperately to get him on a transplant list for a new heart and a a double lung transplant. Without it, they say he just will not make it.

There is surely a lesson in all of this for those of us who aren't dealing with issues like this:
Never take a day for granted, live and love like there is no tomorrow, like these are the last moments you have left. Tell the people you love, just how special they are to you and heal any ill feelings you harbor.

Please add this family to your prayers tonight, I know that they are strangers to you all but prayer is a powerful tool, God hears them all.

Goodnight family, friends and anyone else who reads this rambling journal of mine for some reason.
