Weeks drag on and weekends just fly by....I guess the saying "time flies when your having fun" really is true.
We had a great weekend, kind of went without any plan and just enjoyed being together.
Morgan and Evan had soccer games on Saturday, both at the same time so Kurt and I were trying to split time watching both. Apparantly we missed Grandma being at the games watching Morgan, a break down in communication. We took the kids out for lunch and then to a park across the river to bide time between games as Morgan had an afternoon game. The afternoon game didn't go so well for them, they were playing 5 players down with no subs. The kids were exhausted by the time it was over. Morgan has been asked to play for two local teams for the All Star season. One is a coed team and the other an older girls team. I don't know which she will choose or if she will choose one at all. Her schedule is full with volleyball and the select soccer team she plays with out of town, which sees us heading for Nashville and Germantown TN over the next few weeks.
The weather was gorgeous Saturday evening so we all stayed outside playing soccer, frisbee and then the kids begged us to set up their little volleyball net.
I am still sore from trying to keep up with the kids. Sophie even got in on the Frisbee action, stealing it and making it a game of catch. Kurt and I opened up the hot tub, since the nights are getting cooler we can start using it. Morgan and Layne decided they wanted to "camp out". They usually try to stay the night in the playhouse but I end up going out to get them before midnight. I just can't sleep with them out there. They put the little tent up themselves but they put it up right next to the hot tub which is close to the house. They didn't want to get too far away! LOL We made it all night, I didn't bother them and actually got a little bit of sleep.
Sunday it was rainy and gloomy in the morning, the kids played in the playhouse and Kurt, Lilli and I watched "Shall We Dance". It was a pretty decent movie, nice rainy day flick. Kurt was supposed to have the corporate games but with the weather, they were cancelled. Not sure if they will reschedule or not. Faced with an afternoon of nothing to do, we took the kids to Cape to see "March of The Penguins." I was sure after it started that they would be bored but they all enjoyed it. Kurt and I took turns chasing Lilli in the lobby. She wanted no part of being still. I love this new phase we are entering...(Said with sarcasm)
Today finds me working, I have a phone appt with the representative for the new maternity line and need to work on the resale portion of the business.
I have a little too much help from Miss Lillianne today, she wants to type and brush my hair while I'm working. How very helpful!
I'm also making calls today, trying to put together this birthday party for Morgan. We have to nail down a weekend where most everyone can be there and I am checking on sound systems. We are inviting the parents to stay as most of them are our friends, too so I'm going to have to plan an menu that will work for adults and teens. FUN!
Better get to it....have a great Monday!
