So today I stop and pick up a newspaper and a few other little items on the way to get my son from school. I'm waiting for his practice to be over, flipping thru the paper when I read a headline in the business section that says...."XXXXXXXX "Soccer Mom" turns internet entrepreneur" and I think, hey somebody else is doing that. DUH....I read on an it is about me! LOL I knew that the press release that had been done for me had gone out awhile ago but hadn't seen it in the paper and didn't give it much further thought. It had been picked up in a larger market and online but I didn't see it locally. My town isn't really my target market but I thought it was pretty cool that they ran the article. Anyway, that was kind of a fun surprise for the day!
Lilli's new word of the day is "diaper", go figure! It is so cute when she says it and then hands you one, well it's cute until she has handed you the entire pack of diapers one by one. She loves to sing (for me to sing) "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" and she tried really hard to do the motions, so far she has mastered "out came the sun" and she tries to do her fingers like the spider climbing up the water spout. I swear she is so darn sweet I could just squeeze her. I think that we are going to get out her toddler bed tonight or tomorrow. Her climbing skills are getting better and better, I live in fear that she will topple over the top of her crib. I am left wondering when I will ever get an entire night's sleep again once she realizes that there is nothing to keep her contained in her bed. We had friends that got one of those crib tents to keep their daughter in her crib but I just can't come to terms with one of those. Could be b/c I am claustrophobic and the idea of being trapped in the bed would send me into fits.
Volleyball is over for Morgan and we get a couple of weeks break in between volleyball and basketball, we will still have soccer so really not much of a break.
Morgan brought home a letter and gave it to Kurt and I the other night. She acted like something was wrong and we became worried only to open it and find that she was one few chosen for the National Junior Honor Society in her grade. So Congratulations Morgan, we are so proud of you!!!
Now if I could just get her to clean her room.........
I'm still trying to pin her down on the date to have her party. It seems like when she comes up with a date something else is going on that will prevent some of her friends from being there. At this point it is going to end up too cold to do a bonfire/hayride! She is going to have to come up with something else but I bet that won't be a problem when she gets the input of all her friends! LOL
I'm almost afraid....
My little niece Faith is doing great for all of you that have asked about her. She is continuing to grow and is getting close to 5 lbs. She's not liking her crib so much, really prefers to be held! Imagine that! LOL
Tonight is Survivor and CSI night so I am off to make some dinner and get us all settled in. I'm still not doing to good at keeping up with writing, thanks for continuing to check in on me. I'll try to do better! :)
