How many videos of Barney does it take to drive a Mommy mad? We are on video #9 since 2:30 this morning..........I'm getting close to complete and utter madness! LOL Lilli was up at 12:30 crying, I went and crawled in her toddler bed with her and we slept for about an hour until she woke up crying and completely awake asking for Barney. After dosing her w/ tylenol for the temp, we settled in to watch the big purple lug sing and dance. FUN.......um, no! After several attempts by Mommy to convince Lilli that bed was a good place to be, Daddy.....sensing Mommy's distress came to the rescue. DH let me go back to bed and he joined in the Barney fun. Lilli is still running a temp today and has developed sniffles and a cough, there is probably another sleepless, Barney filled night ahead for me.
You know that you are a wife and a mother when you get excited over purchasing a Scunci steam cleaner. My new toy was delivered yesterday and of course I had to try it out immediately. It is simply awesome but I had to put it up right away, it scared Lillianne half to death.
I got an exciting phone call yesterday! I used to be a manager/trainer/make up artist for Estee Lauder and after moving back to MO I would work in store as a promotional assistant/make up artist for store events or to help boost store sales at various locations. It's been a few years since I've done any work for them but I loved it and every once in a while I think about going back. I got a call yesterday afternoon from the coordinator in our region asking me if I would like to have some hours and do in store promotions for them in December. OF COURSE I WOULD.... I get to play with the new products and do what I love to do. The extra fun money will be nice around the holidays, too! :)
The hours are great with the kids, Mom will be able to help me out with Lillianne and I'll be home no later than 6!
Morgan's got a band concert tonight that she didn't realize was this week so I'm busy making last minute wardrobe preparations for her. Please say a prayer for one of her best friends. We are not sure of all of the details but she was taken to the hospital and then transported to a children's hospital in St Louis last night. They thought she had mono but aren't sure, something may have affected her spleen. All of the girls are just worried sick about her. If you pray, please add her to your prayer list or just keep her in your thoughts.....
Not too exciting around here today unless you are into Barney! LOL so I will leave you with Dottie's Daily 5:
Today I am thankful for:
1. Caffeine: Diet Coke is the source...without it I would not be functioning today!
2. Tonight: Sleep is only 10.5 hours away.....I hope!
3. Kurt: That even though he had to go in to work, he knew I was just too tired and got up with Lillianne so I could go back to bed! SMOOCH honey!
4. Oreos: My breakfast today.....need I say more!
5. Jeans: There is something so satisfying when you find that perfect pair.. and I have finally found them!
