It's a melancholy day around here today.........
Nobody wanted to get up for school this morning, can't blame them as it was still relatively dark outside and they were all snuggled in. I went upstairs to wake the boys and Evan had taken blankets and enclosed the lower half of their bunk beds to create a tent. I crawled in with him and snuggled and wanted to declare a snow day! No snow, don't think they'd buy it! LOL

Lillianne is chasing Sophie with the Hello Kitty mylar balloon that she conned her Daddy into buying for her at Walmart. Sophie's loving the balloon about as much as she loves the baby doll stroller. It's 50 plus lbs of boxer slip sliding on the laminate flooring trying desperately to escape the 24 lb toddler terror. And the day has just begun!

The washer died last night, something broke that causes the agitation....lovely! It must be a law somewhere that the things you can't live without must break before a holiday or vacation and more than one of those important things must break at the same time. Thankfully the hubby is handy, he took the part out and is going to make a new piece today for it out of metal. I'll have to break down and buy a new washer someday soon but I can certainly think of more fun ways to spend that $$$

Speaking of better ways to spend $$. Lilli and I went shopping yesterday and found some deals, got tons of clothes for the kids and I even came away with a pair of jeans! Fun Stuff! I avoided Walmart, during the holiday season you either emerge from Walmart homicidal or suicidal....it's a toss up and could go either way. People are NUTS!

I'm off for a date with the dishwasher....domesticity....AH, the life!

I'm now even more convinced that Lillianne and Sam are soul mates--the other day I caught him cornering our Dalmation with his "safety sword", which is basically a padded bat.

LOL Laina! It would seem that Sam and Lilli are soul mates! Oh the trouble that they could get in to!
I don't dare give Lilli a "safety sword"...Sophie shutters at the thought! :)
