So far behind.....
Injured and sick kids, sick 'puter, holiday plans derailed, x-mas decorations and the blahs.................all reasons I haven't been a good bloggin' girl lately.

Morgan seems to have bounced back from her soccer injuries, we did have to go back in for another cat scan but all is ok. She has jumped right into the basketball season, full steam ahead. In Monday night's home game, she scored 22 points in the first 12 minutes of the game. I'd say she's made a pretty good recovery! LOL

Our Thanksgiving trip plans got derailed this year but with reason. We were supposed to travel to see my sister and her family in SC but with the kids having been sick we just couldn't take the chance of exposing little Faith to anything. I so want to hold that sweet baby, drink in that powder soft aroma and warm snuggles. Hopefully we will be able to see them soon, for now I have to live with daily phone calls and pictures. I do "talk" to Caleb everyday....the last few days have been all about "potty talk"! He is learning to use his Royal Potty, apparently it is a potty that plays a royal theme announcement when the little one sits down on it and then when they do their business, announces it with another royal proclamation.

We did use the holiday family togetherness to do some shopping, take a few hikes, go out to dinner and decorate the outside of the house. Putting Christmas lights on the house is Kurt's favorite thing to do (dripping with sarcasm) but amazingly, he didn't grumble much at all. He even made me a huge tree of lights for the front, similar to what he made for the roof of his company. Lillianne is in awe of the Christmas lights, especially the big tree. She is saying "lights" and we have to go to the door at least 100 times a night to "ooh and ahhh" or "Oh Wow, Oh Whee" in Lilliannese over the pretty lights. I think that makes it all worth risking life and limb to Kurt.

Layne's school choir performed at the Holiday Lighting on the square, a couple of weeks ago. He looked so handsome and I cried. I'm such a sap when it comes to watching my kids.

Evan lost his first tooth this last Sunday. It had been loose for several weeks and frankly, he was ready for the Tooth Fairy to drop her loot off under his pillow. He asked me at 8:30 Sunday night to take him to the dentist to "get this tooth outta here". I sent him to his Daddy, who promptly pulled it right out. Evan's eyes got as big as saucers and for a minute I thought he was going to cry but he left that to me (yes, I cried over this, too!) We were having tornadic like weather so I wanted the kids to sleep in the basement. I have irrational fears of not being able to collect all of my brood in a storm so I like to herd them all together when the weather is bad. Evan was afraid the Tooth Fairy wouldn't find him in his sister's bedroom so he had to leave the tooth in a baggie on the table with a note labeling it "Evan's tooth". He was very pleased to wake up and find his loot in the morning, he promptly spent it on some candy that afternoon. Good stuff for the newly emerging permanent tooth! :)

The Estee Lauder thing....they ended up giving me 39 hours each week....um....what happened to the 15-20 hours???? I've lost my babysitter b/c my Mom is in NC so all of this will hinge on finding someone I can trust to watch Miss Lilli. I feel like I am going to hyper ventilate everytime I think of leaving her with someone. Again, that is irrational but I have been with her every single day of her life and if she went to a daycare she would so not cooperate with the timeline of things. Lilli does things on her own schedule, which has always worked for us but I don't think would work for the daycare at all! So we will see how this works itself out. I may just not be able to take any hours until after the holiday season and Mom is back home to keep her those "10-20" hours.
I'm not happy about it, I was looking forward to it and the money was amazing but....what to do!

Sorry so long, if I blogged more often I wouldn't have so much to catch up on. I'll do better!
Have a fabulous weekend, the kid's are riding in the x-mas parade with my Dad this weekend. He's the Chief of Police in a local town and will lead the parade while the kids throw out candy. They are hyped up about it, especially at the idea of hording back some of the candy for themselves! LOL
