Sticker Shock
First of all...thank you all for you kind and supportive comments. I'm fine, I just have those moments that sneak up when you least expect them to.

Handy Hubby and I took Lillianne and headed to St Louis yesterday. He had worked 16 days in a row and needed a day off so we went to the Auto Show. I don't know if you can use auto show and fun in the same sentence but we had a nice time. Maybe just being together was part of the niceness. I fell in love with quite a few vehicles....my passion for the SUV has dimmed due to gas prices and space. Unless I'd get a monster one, there just isn't enough room for my growing family. Morgan is already almost 5'7" and Layne and Evan are growing overnight, it seems. It looks like the mini van will be our vehicle of choice for the foreseeable future. They had plenty of hot little convertibles there, reminded me of the Mazda Miata that I used to have. I miss that little car! I had to pick my jaw up off the ground when we came around to the Mercedes. There was this hot little S class sportster that I began to drool over until I went around to read the sticker price. Base price: $185,000 with added options.....$192,000! Like they couldn't fit all of the options in at $185,000! Holy cow! Call me crazy but who in the world spends almost 200K on a car? A CAR!!! Some would see a car sitting there on display, I saw college educations!

Morgan had her final basketball game last night. Their school was hosting a tournament and the 7th grade girls had made it to the championship game. They were facing their toughest opponent of the regular season, who had gone undefeated thus far. It was a tough match up but our girls got the first points on the board which helped set the tone of the game. The opponents were heavy foulers which allowed us to go to the line quite a few times, bumping our points up. Our girls ended up beating them by several points at the end, never giving the lead. Our girls (and us parents) were crying with joy, the other team was crying from frustration. They were all good sports though, each team shook hands and exchanged hugs. It was an exciting game and so fun to watch! We have a small (couple week only) reprieve before soccer starts up and it looks to be a busy season already with the traveling team.

Nothing too exciting but that's all that is going on around here other than work, that will never stop! :)

Yes, these things sneak up on us. Grieving is a roller coaster, isn't it??

Sounds like you had a nice day. What an exciting game!

I cannot believe your daughter is that height. My son is 13 and only 4 feet 11 inches. Not even 70 lbs. Of course, this is the result of health issues that will hopefully be resolved with surgery on the 9th of Feb. We pray he gains at least 20 lbs quickly after this. Height would be nice, but we mainly want some meat on him!

I want a new vehicle also. I have yet to have any vehicle that I have ever had. Never had anything even close to what I would like. Maybe one day!

Have a great weekend!

Lowa: Thanks for stopping by! I look forward to reading your blog, too. I hope all goes well with your son's surgery and that it will allow him the growth he needs.
Have a nice weekend!

Wow, I just read what I wrote up there!? LOL About the vehicle?? I MEANT, I have yet to have a SAY in any vehicle. To choose one. Ya know. Sheesh!

Tell me about it just_christina! We paid 20,000 for our's 4 years ago and it is the basic model. Nothing extra at all. I HATE it! LOL But then remind myself that it gets me where I need to go and many people would love to have it.

Yes, those prices Dottie was talking about could buy 5 or 6 nice vehicles. SHEESH! And 20 or 30 used ones? I cannot believe people pay that!??!?!
