rambling
A few days away have improved my disposition a bit....we spent a couple of days on Kentucky Lake with the kids and Kurt's parents. The weather was gorgeous, we ate well and had a great time visiting. Morgan took a friend with her and they had fun on the wave runners and checking out the cute guys. Lord help me...... You can go HERE to see some pictures of our weekend.

Mom joined us Sunday evening and we enjoyed an evening boat ride to the beach and gorgeous sunset on the way back. I was able to read a book and a half, get some sun and just relax. Much needed.... Mom kept Layne over at the lake and I think that I'm going to load the kids up and take them back until Kurt can join us on the weekend. I have a few things to wrap up around here but that is where my thought process is right now.

My MIL kept saying how lucky we are that we are able to do this with the kids while they are growing up. I guess it's something I don't think about much because I grew up spending weekends and vacations on Kentucky Lake, boating, skiing and just relaxing. They did different things growing up but I just can't imagine not doing this with our kids. I'm glad that Kurt's parent's are able to join us every now and then so that they will be a special part of those memories (along with my parents) for our kids, too. We took Kurt's Aunt Kay with us summer before last, along with his parent's and the kids still talk about that.

Morgan is sad, her Aunt passed away this last weekend and we didn't find out about it until last night. I would do anything in the world to take the pain that she was experiencing away from her. I hate that I can't protect my kids from the bad things in life......Kurt has called me twice today to talk about what we can do to help her when she gets home, I know he is struggling with those protective emotions, too.

I'm rambling...My mind is still in the relax mode so there isn't much to blog about. Check out our lake pictures if you get the chance
