Whew....long day! I have another puppy gone, three tests behind me and a paper turned it. I can call it a good day!
I had to take two test quizzes in history, a test in my bible class and write a 3 page paper for the history class along with go to Springfield, IL today. Did I mention that I had to finish reading 30 pages and take notes on it. I referenced the font size in my earlier post, it was NOT fun. The reading had to be done while riding in the van with the kids, my hand now has carpal tunnel syndrome, of this I am convinced and my hubby is really tired of hearing me say that I need a laptop. Hopefully tired enough to get me one! :)
Good news is.....I am done with the aforementioned tests and paper, all went exceedingly well :)
I missed only a combined number of 3 on the History quizzes, I took tons of notes but apparantly not enough to answer those three. I missed only one on my Bible test, I knew the answer but common sense eluded me in that moment. My gut told me to choose answer A and my hand chose answer B, thus getting it incorrect. This shouldn't bother me, I'm really working on the issue of having to get it all perfect. I haven't written a paper in eons but it even turned out fairly well. I impressed my audience of hubby and kids, they now think that I am super smart with my utilization of big words. HA HA!
On the trip to Springfield we ate at the Cracker Barrel. First we went into this little place that looked quaint and fun on the outside, it was a smoke pit from HELL on the inside. We sat down, looked at the pitiful menu, chose clean arteries and lungs over grease and smoke and told the waitress the kids wanted McDonalds. LOL Well, it's better than telling them that they were killing my entire family with poor ventilation, second hand smoke and germs. So we ended up at Cracker Barrel where I pigged out on hashbrown casserole. LOVE the carbs! :)
Layne asked me while we were eating today why I was taking classes again. Good question, Bubby! I had to explain to him that once he and his siblings were older and didn't need me so much, Mommy would want to do something else with her days. He looked at me like surely he would still need me and boy, I hope he still does. I can't imagine this job not being my purpose. I know that it will evolve and change, I'll still have a job, the description will just have to be altered a bit.
Kurt and the kids played outside tonight while I finished up my work, bless his heart he must sense that with deadlines I am teetering on the brink of insanity. He's finally putting up the pool so they piddled with that for a bit. Yes, it is July but we have been gone nearly every weekend and it hasn't gotten put up yet. Lillianne found the spring horse that was Evan's in the shed when we were getting the pool out so all weekend she has been happily riding her "Tow" aka Cow aka Spring horse.......you try to tell her any different and see if she listens to you.
I'm off to find a snack, all of this learnin' is making me hungry....hopefully the Freshman 15 doesn't apply to you when you go back to school after 30! :)
