Moving Day
I.AM.TIRED!!!! That is simply the only way I can describe it because I am too tired to go further into detail.

We started packing Mom up last Monday and worked almost straight thru until Wednesday morning when Hubby and I went to get the UHaul. I ran home at night to make sure everyone was taken care of and then back to packing.... The move went well but neither Mom or I could hardly walk by the time that the movers got the UHaul loaded. Our pastor had a crew of people waiting when we pulled in to help unload the truck, they, along with Kurt and my father in law, had Mom all unloaded within an hour. What a wonderful church family we have been blessed with. Mom and I unpacked all day Thursday while Kurt did all of the handy man jobs and mowed her grass. Bless his heart, he ran lines for her ice maker, hung shelves, fixed leaks and phone lines.....I do love that he is so darn handy, though! Friday we pulled an all nighter with decorating and finishing up some of the rooms. She is now safely ensconsed in a cute and cozy three bedroom, one bath home just minutes from me. The circumstances that brought her here are awful but I am so glad to have her near us. The kids and Kurt might even be more excited than I am...LOL

It does seem that we have been in overdrive since she decided two weeks ago to make the move. Once the decision was made it was full steam ahead. That is just how the two of us approach life and together we usually get it done and have fun in the process.

I still have TONS of school work to get done. This weekend will be split between soccer tournaments and study. Work has simply been put on the back burner. A hidden blessing in having a business that I run from home. I have been able to take care of the orders as they have come in but haven't even begun to think about getting the resale line up and running. I was contacted today by a jewelry maker that found my store online. She would like me to showcase her pieces. Even more exciting are the testimonials on her store site from big name celebrities that are wearing her work. I feel honored that she would like to work with me.

Kiddos are doing well. Evan's been struggling with some allergy stuff but had a good day today. Layne is getting ready to start choir and both boys are loving scouts. Morgan is doing great in volleyball and in soccer. She is on the STUCO exec board and has a convention coming up and Girl Scouts has started up for her, too. Lillianne is a mess! She keeps me laughing all day long! She is really talking now and will pull some of the funniest stuff out of her little head to share. Morgan loves to teach her all kinds of funny things, this has me worried. Her latest is mimicking the song "I'm Bossy". Lillianne's version is "Lilli Bossy, I Bossy"! I do have to agree with her there, she is a little bossy! LOL

I keep telling myself that I am going to get back into posting mode. I enjoy reading back over the last year or so as I am reminded of all of the fun we have had, the growing we have done and the blessings that have come our way so I would really like to continue blogging. I just have to get thru this school work and get everyone else in my life settled. Baby steps.....

But for now, I'm going to sleep.

I'm so glad you got your mom all settled in! How nice of your church to come out and help.
