My Kids
I have amazing kids!!!!! I just needed to write that down so that I will remember this day and this feeling when they start bickering and fussing again. LOL Today was parent teacher conference at school which means that the kids had the day off of school. I got glowing reports on all three of the kids that are in school. Layne's grades are pretty much perfect and his teacher called him the "Perfect Student". Hubby and I have heard that each year from his various teachers. Evan is doing great and his teacher says that he is wonderful. She says that she loves seeing his big smile everyday and he is Mr. Social. Somehow I can picture that! I visited each of Morgan's teachers and got great reports from each of them. She is such a social creature and her teachers all adore her. Her grades are wonderful and she is really hitting Algebra hard this year. We are lucky in the fact that our kids don't struggle with school or socially. I was so shy in school but forced myself to be involved. Luckily for my kids it seems to just comes naturally. That has always been such a fear of mine and that I wouldn't be able to make it right for them. I guess it is a form of validation that we are doing things right, somedays you just need to be told that you are. LOL

Miss Morgan had a volleyball game tonight. They won and Morgan had some awesome hits and saves. I love watching her play ball, she enjoys it so much and at the same time has such an intensity about her. We have soccer this weekend with games starting tomorrow night. Fire up the ole minivan!

The first day of fall is here. It seems as if there was really no summer at all. The last month and a half have just been a blur. I enjoy the fall weather but really wish we would have had more time on the lake and in the warm sun. Kurt will soon be bringing the boat and jet skis home to store in the barn for the winter. How sad.... We had wanted to go camping, too but once soccer is over, I'm afraid it will be too cold. Oh well!

I'm going to ressurect my "thankful for" list tonight:

Today I am thankful for.....
1. Amazing kids
2. My mother being safe and nearby
3. Kurt......he really is amazing and doesn't even realize it
4. The power of prayer
5. Friends, both near and far

Amen hunny...the power of prayer.

Last night was back to school night. I feel rested right now with everyone out of the house. Maybe I should take a nap and not feel guilty. Hmmm. Life's not too bad right now.

Thinking of you

C: Glad you are feeling rested. I have to say that I followed the link on your site to the web templates. It was HIGH time for a change around here. LOL

Bossy: I'm glad to have you back. I haven't been a good blogger at all in the last months. I kind of got burnt out, school work to be done and then Daddy passing away....blogging wasn't a big priority but I'll get better. Thanks for the compliment on the pic. I have VERY few of me b/c I am always the one with the cameras. LOL
