Procrasitination
I'm procrasitinating by blogging this morning. I have tons of school work to get done and I just can't bring myself to go there right now. I was up until 2:30 reading and taking notes then up with the kids at 6 to help get them ready for school. I almost cried when Lillianne woke up with them, insisted on making the trip with her Daddy when he took them to the school bus and I was sure that she would be WIDE awake. THANKFULLY she agreed to snuggle back down in the bed with me and we slept until 10:30! Woo Hoo! I can't remember the last time we did that but then cumulatively it still wasn't 8 hours of sleep for me.

The downside to the crazy sleep pattern is that I have a RAGING migraine. I'm two diet cokes and some naproxin into my pain therapy but it still isn't taking the edge off. I have to get ready and run to town, too. I'm also procrastinating there :) One of Layne's classmates lost everything in the tornado that hit our county. She has a 10 week old brother and they are all living in a motel. I can't even imagine that. His teacher is collecting things for the family and while taking reading breaks last night, I laundered a huge bag of girls clothing and a bag of infant boy clothing. I wish that we could do more to help them, I can't even fathom being homeless all of a sudden. Hopefully insurance will restore them as much as possible. So I have to make a trip into town to deliver those things.

Kurt and I got the boat and jet skis put away in the barn last night. That was kind of sad, sort of like a signal to the end of summer. We have had to leave the golf cart out b/c Lillianne and Sophie (Boxer) have been insisting on evening rides. We will be out in the yard and find Lilli and Soph sitting in the "ride" waiting on one of us to give them a spin. Soph sits in the seat just like a person. Some kids drove by last night and waved at Sophie while she was getting her ride. They had their windows down and were laughing, telling each other to check out the puppy. LOL We do have a picture of Daddy, Sophie and Wesley (Mom and Daddy's west highland terrier) riding in the golf cart, just a couple of weeks before he passed away. Actually it was when we were all there for the 4th. Mom keeps it on her refrigerator and Lillianne is always talking about PaPaw and the puppies. It's really sad, you wonder if she will really remember him.

Thankfully my new digital camera battery and charger will be here this week. Somewhere in the craziness of the funeral and the days surrounding, my battery charger containing my battery went missing. We think that it might have gotten thrown out with something so I've had to track down and order a new one. I am seriously lost without that thing. I use my good SLR but I am spoiled to the instant gratification that the digital provides! LOL

I really guess I should hit the books....now would be a really good time for Calgon to take me away. Or better yet Royal Carribean would work WONDERS! :)

Have a good one~
