Two glasses ain't enough
of wine that is..... Lord, it has been a week and it is only Tuesday.
I guess the craziness started last week or right after Christmas. Lillianne started running a temp that escalated to over 104 and then broke out with hives all over. That resulted in a Friday night trip to the emergency room (b/c who knew you could get hives from a fever...). I didn't go to the extended family x-mas that I had actually planned to go to b/c the Dr. said that she could be contagious and she was just foul and fussy! I get her well only to have Morgan come down with the virus, then Layne and now Lillianne has something else that I am beginning to believe is the flu. I haven't slept in DAYS........................seriously, DAYS! To top it off, my hormonal, beautiful 14 year old is having 8th grade friend issues (Lord, they can be vicious) and wants to move to a foreign country, any country. Well, that was an hour or so ago and now.....by some miracle of the 8th grade mystery, they have all made up and are bosom buddies again. My favorite part is how there is no way that I could possibly understand (OH HONEY, I have so been a 14 year old girl, everything feels like the end of the world), I tell her how hard growing up can be, what I've gone thru etc but really, I think that the painful process of teenhood must just be required to help mold you into adult hood. I'd skip over that part for her if I could but on the other hand, some of the moments can be priceless, too. I guess I'll just have to stock up on tissue and make up remover.

It is just crazy................

Christmas was good, difficult since Christmas Eve was also Daddy's b-day but overall considering the circumstances, it was good. We spent Christmas Eve with Mom, Santa visited at her house x-mas morning and then we all headed to Kurt's parents to be with them as well as Kurt's sisters and family for Christmas. We had a yummy brunch, good company and lots of gifts.

The kids were super spoiled this year..... just some of the spoils for this year were PlayStation 2 for the boys, several games for it, Game Boy Micros and games for each of them, board games and each a new pet guinea pig. Harry and Teddy....too cute! Lillianne got more baby dolls, 4 to be exact, a Fisher Price Twin Time Dollhouse, doll bed, accessories and a Disney Princess Bike. Miss Morgan got tons and tons of clothes, money, a 30GB IPOD video, a new coat and tons of other stuff. SPOILED ROTTEN GROUP but I love them! :)

Overall things are looking good for the new year, I'm excited about the new year as it should be bringing some great things. We have a lot to be grateful for....wonderful, healthy and bright children, great family and friends, a home and love....what more could you want.

Happy New Year to you and yours....I'll try to be better about posting in the New Year.
