Ack....taking a break from work for a few minutes to catch up on my blog reading, clear the brain for a minute! :)

I've got so much incoming for late summer and back to school clothing to process and get out, that coupled with the fact that I have added ladies and young teen men's clothing.....I'm wondering if I will see daylight. I decided to go ahead and take both the ladies and teen guys b/c I was getting so many requests for it and to me that just equals missed sales opportunites. More work yes but it will be worth it. I've got a couple of racks of great ladies wear, full of Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, Coldwater Creek, Talbots, Ralph Lauren and more. Very exciting! Again, I wish I would have listened to my gut on taking the space next door....my only option now is to create a second location or take part of the corner space in the center that I am in if I want to grow. It seems that the choice to grow is being taken away from me though. I already have over 60 consignors in just two months and am consistently meeting my break even sales goal and the "over and above" daily sales goal that I set for myself. I've definately got a lot to think about....surviving the back to school rush and finding the right employee are at the top of my list right now, as is getting the online store loaded. I have had almost 4000 visits to the online boutique so far this month, definately missing opportunities there. I'm tired.....LOL

The kids are great, Layne just had his birthday and got a Nintendo DS. I was opposed to another game system since they have a Nintendo 64, Playstation 2 and game boy advanced systems but he explained to me that he can play his GBA games on the new system so I caved. I am just seriously opposed to my kids sitting on their tails playing video games or watching TV all day. We've limited the gaming to one hour a day and they have the opportunity to "earn" more time. That seems to be working well and they have learned to be responsible with their time.

We enjoyed time with DH's family at the lake weekend before last. The cousins all had a great time playing, the weather was warm and the lake was calm. Fun stuff! Got Grandpa and Grandma on the jet skis and even got some pics. It was a quiet trip home, everyone was exhausted. I had water skiied the day before and could barely move for the rest of the week but I was excited that I could still ski. LOL

Father's Day was nice, we spent the day hanging out as a family and the evening BBQing at the park. Morgan gave Kurt the greatest gift imaginable. She wrote him a four page letter that brought me to tears, not just tears but full fledged sobbing. It was simply beautiful! I know that he will treasure and keep it forever.
