As I am opening the doors to the store this morning, a delivery van pulls up and appears to be going next door to Workforce. Nope, the driver gets out of her van with a huge vase of gorgeous roses and walks right into my store. Handy Hubby sent me a dozen roses, an ivory and pink split. They are simply gorgeous and so unexpected. Every now and then he will send me flowers but he is more into getting me great, last forever or at least a long time gifts. Not getting them often makes them all the more special. I called to thank him and he informed me that there was more to come...hmm...wonder what! :) The girl from Workforce came over to ask me to take care of her flowers, she said she knew that they just delivered them to the wrong place. :)
She said that she never gets flowers, just occassionally will get one from her husband as an "I was an idiot, forgive me" gesture. My husband's "I was an idiot" gesture comes from Dairy Queen and arrives in the form of a large Oreo blizzard. This dates back to when we were dating in high school, he had done something to make me angry. The next thing I know he is knocking on the door, remorse and sadness all over his face with a huge oreo blizzard in hand. Who could resist that kind of remorse. :) It was funny years later when we began dating again, I drove several hours up to see him was waiting for him when he got off of work. I was visiting with his Mom, he came busting in the door from work, murmured hello and headed to the basement. I was a bit taken aback after driving several hours to come see him and to be greated so non chalantly but he redeemed himself seconds later when he comes up with a huge Oreo blizzard that he had gotten the night before to have when I got there. Is it any wonder that I love this man. He listens when I don't know that I'm talking, picks up on the desires of my heart be it a blizzard, beautiful flowers or just a quiet dinner together and somehow makes it materialize without me uttering a word.
Morgan got a present on my birthday (not sure how that works)...Her new RazrV3 was delivered to my store moments ago. She is going to be so excited, I'm sure it is the perfect accessory for her back to school wardrobe. LOL We are going to have a hard time keeping our phones straight, hers is just a bit darker pink than mine but otherwise they are exactly the same. I'm seeing a decorative cover in one of our futures.
So I created a myspace for the store because that appears to be the thing to do. LOL I guess it is a good way to target the juniors/teen crowd but I just don't get the whole myspace thing. It really isn't a blog, not sure what the purpose is and is really a bit to teeny for my personal use. I'll stick to blogging and let Morgan handle the myspace thing for me.
Wishing I was at the lake lounging around today. Mom and I were debating on getting a different camper, looked at a few and finally decided that a larger one was the way to go. The new one has a king bedroom and a second bedroom with double bunks. Including the sleeper sofa and the fold out dining table area, it sleeps 10. What a nice change that will be...Now I just long to go enjoy it. We had to order a new part for one of the jet skis and are hoping that it will make it in this week so we can use it. We have one to use but having two is so much more fun for us and the kids. I grew up on the lake, I'm so glad that we are able to have the same experiences for our kids.
Ahhh, now I am off to daydream ....
