What do you do when you are loudly and abruptly awoken by a 1:30 AM fire call? You stay up and worry about your firefighter husband. You worry that the roads are slick with sleet, you worry that he is going to be facing danger and you worry about the poor people who's home is burning on a cold, miserable night.
You listen to the three boxer babies cry and whine b/c they were awoken as well, only an hour after you have gotten them all settled in. Something about being trapped behind a baby gate causes extreme puppy indignation which illicites mini howls, shrill barks and pitiful crying. All of which are endearing for only about the first 10 seconds but they are just too darn cute to get upset with.
Because you are awake and will most certainly be that way until the hubby comes in smelling of smoke but safe and sound, you review your New Year's Resolutions and determine that this is most certainly the best time to renew the blogging that you have missed so much.
So, blogging I am. I do miss blogging, I miss the flow of words, words that sometimes only make sense to me but that is ok, I don't write to make anyone else happy or to satisfy the curiosity of others. I write because I enjoy it, I write to chronicle the crazy wonderfulness that is my life with those that I love the most. I write because I can.
I have a couple of other resolutions that I am hoping to keep. I'll probably touch on those soon.
What else do you do while you wait.....you get a snack....and I hear OREOS calling my name.
g'night
