HAPPY 13th BIRTHDAY LAYNE MICHAEL!!!!!!!!!!
I know it is is a few hours after midnight but this is the time that I have finally found to sit down and write it down. I have been too busy today celebrating with you and enjoying your company to let the rest of the world know that it is the birthday of one of the BEST son's in the whole world.
I can't believe that you are 13. A teenager.....
I try to always let you know how proud I am of you and at this age, it pretty much embarrasses you most of the time but I am going to write it down so that one day, you might visit this site and read what was in and on my heart on the day that you edged even closer to becoming a man.
You are so bright, your intelligence amazes me. You heart is so tender and so full of compassion, you are a joy to everyone that knows you. You often are wise beyond your young years.
If I am sad for some reason, you become sad with me and take the time out of being a kid to comfort me and make me smile again.
You were pure joy to me from the moment that the nurse put you in my arms. Pure love and pure joy!
Yes, you are a young teenager, young boy and can try my patience as you spread your wings and test your limits but I understand that is all part of your growing up process and I will love you thru it, guide you when you might get lost, fight battles with you when you can't do it alone.....we will make this journey together as much as you will allow me to be there with and for you. I will always support you in who you are, who you may become and love you always.
You are a true gift my baby boy ( I can still call you that even though you are an official teen....b/c you are and always will be )
